Self-Directed Course in COVID-19 Reporting

The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), has made the course  “Journalism in a Pandemic: Covering COVID-19 Now and in the Future” available in self-directed format. The course is divided into four modules covering: past history of pandemics, the unfolding of the 2020 pandemic in its first four months, treatments for COVID-19 and the way forward. The main instructor is Maryn McKenna, an independent journalist who specializes in public health, global health and food policy, who is also a senior fellow at the Center for the Study of Human Health at Emory University.
